CBS IT Systems Cyprus Ltd, a member of the Cosmos Group, is implementing a project of strategic importance for the Republic of Cyprus, involving the supply and installation of high-performance AI servers, specialised for Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and large-scale data analysis, for the High Performance Computing (HPC) Centre of The Cyprus Institute.<\/p>\n
This infrastructure will significantly enhance the capabilities of Cyprus\u2019s research and academic community, addressing a critical gap in national computing capacity and enabling advanced applications in AI, Big Data and scientific simulation.<\/p>\n
The implementation is based on advanced technologies from NVIDIA and Lenovo, global leaders in the field of High-Performance Computing infrastructure and AI Data Centres. The selected architecture ensures high computing power, scalability, energy efficiency and reliability, enabling the new infrastructure to meet the growing needs of Cyprus\u2019s research community.<\/p>\n
With the implementation of the project, the way is paved for the deployment of advanced AI and Big Data technologies in critical fields, such as clean energy, climate science, environmental challenges, natural disaster prevention, as well as biomedical research and bioinformatics. The project marks the beginning of a new era for Cyprus\u2019s national supercomputing infrastructure, laying the foundations for the development of advanced applications and the enhancement of innovation across the country.<\/p>\n
