DOTSOFT S.A. has undertaken the implementation of the Municipality of Drama\u2019s project titled 'Actions to Combat Energy Poverty'\u2014a comprehensive social and environmental initiative aimed at supporting households and vulnerable groups affected by or at risk of energy poverty.<\/p>\n
The project is integrated into the 'Eastern Macedonia, Thrace 2021\u20132027' Program and is co-financed by the European Social Fund+ (ESF+), under the framework of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.<\/p>\n
The intervention encompasses a broad range of awareness-raising, informational, support, and networking actions, aimed at enhancing citizens' energy literacy and providing practical support to those facing the greatest challenges in meeting their energy needs.<\/p>\n
As part of the project, educational workshops will be conducted for primary and secondary education staff as well as parents' associations, alongside public events focused on the energy upgrading of buildings and the benefits derived from improving their energy efficiency. In parallel, digital awareness campaigns will be implemented covering the energy efficiency of household appliances, alternative heating and cooling solutions, low-cost measures, and daily behavioral changes that contribute to energy savings.<\/p>\n
Particular emphasis is placed on targeted informational actions for vulnerable households and social groups, through the provision of personalized guidance and advice. These initiatives will address beneficiaries identified by the competent social structures and services of the Municipality of Drama, such as the Community Center, the Senior Citizen Open Care Center (KAPI), and the Elderly Day Care Center (KIFI).<\/p>\n
A central element of the project is the operation of an Energy Poverty Advisory Hub, providing on-site support and information to citizens. The hub will serve as a single point of reference for energy savings, residential energy retrofits, heating and cooling solutions, as well as opportunities to leverage available support programs and financial measures.<\/p>\n
A key component of the intervention is the conduct of 100 pilot energy audits in the homes of vulnerable households, aiming to better map energy needs and formulate practical guidelines for improving residential energy efficiency.<\/p>\n
In parallel, DOTSOFT will develop a modern Online Help Tool, which will serve as a digital information and support hub for citizens. Through the application, access will be provided to educational materials and practical information regarding home energy upgrades, energy conservation, energy rights, participation in support programs, and other opportunities related to the transition toward more efficient and sustainable energy choices.<\/p>\n
The project also includes awareness-raising and training activities for social services personnel and frontline workers, aiming to enhance their ability to identify instances of energy vulnerability and direct citizens more effectively toward available solutions and support mechanisms.<\/p>\n
Concurrently, through local stakeholder networking and knowledge-transfer actions, the project seeks the exchange of best practices and the alignment of local efforts with European initiatives and entities active in combatting energy poverty<\/p>\n
By undertaking this specific project, DOTSOFT leverages its expertise in digital application development, the implementation of Local Government projects, the design of awareness and networking actions, and the creation of end-to-end digital services.<\/p>\n
