Η Αλεξάνδρεια Ζώνη Καινοτομίας, o Σύνδεσμος Εξαγωγέων και ο Σύνδεσμος Επιχειρήσεων Τεχνολογίας και Πληροφορικής Ελλάδος διοργανώνουν εκδήλωση με θέμα ‘Heretical perspectives on entrepreneurship, education, AI, and everything else’  στοχεύοντας σε μια διαδραστική συζήτηση με τους προσκεκλημένους ομιλητές Apostolos ‘Toli’ Lerios, Jedi Master, και Christine Lerios, Head Witch!

Η εκδήλωση απευθύνεται σε startups και σε φορείς του οικοσυστήματος καινοτομίας και θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Τετάρτη 15 Νοεμβρίου 2023 και ώρα 18:00-19:30 στις εγκαταστάσεις της Αλεξάνδρειας Ζώνης Καινοτομίας Α.Ε., Φιλικής Εταιρείας 12 & Τσιμισκή.

Σύντομα βιογραφικά ομιλητών

Apostolos “Toli” Lerios is a former mentor, serial entrepreneur, and engineer who has played key roles, usually as a co-founder, at SRI International (a research institute which launched many successful startups such as Siri, Apple’s voice assistant), Metanautix (a big data startup acquired by Microsoft), Facebook (where Toli single-handedly created its dynamic image processing infrastructure), Magnolia Creek (a clinic acquired by private equity), CenterRun (a data warehousing startup acquired by Sun Microsystems), and Align Technology (a medical technology startup that became a public company) to name a few. Toli holds a BS and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, where he received several awards and worked on two space experiments, including the Space Shuttle mission STS-46/TSS-1.

Toli has been granted over 70 patents in the U.S. and Europe, and has given several invited lectures at universities, TEDx events, and other forums. Toli grew up in Athens, Greece, moved to the U.S. in 1989, and lives near Austin, Texas.

 

Christine Lerios is a startup veteran with more than two decades of experience running operations and marketing efforts for small businesses in the technology, finance, healthcare, and non-profit sectors. She currently serves as a consultant, mentor, and occasional board member to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Christine’s career began in product marketing with Trilogy Software. She further honed her skills as a consultant with VisionEdge Marketing before starting her own consultancy in 2000. She has served a wide range of clients, from launching the first residential eating disorder treatment

facility in Alabama, to wrangling developers in Silicon Valley, to coaching founders in Ukraine and Greece. Her affinity for working with small organizations and their limited means has led her to amass an evolving set of hands-on skills in operations, finance, and human resources. She is often overwhelmed but never bored!

Christine holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Economics and Human Biology from Stanford University. She is also a trained yoga instructor. She calls Austin, Texas home but is more often found elsewhere visiting family and friends or indulging in her love of travel.
