Space Hellas has been awarded the contract for the maintenance and technical support of the National Visa Information System (N-VIS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Space Hellas, one of Greece’s leading providers of integrated IT, telecommunications, and security solutions, has signed a new contract with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the project "Maintenance and Technical Support of the N-VIS Information System and its Subsystems".
The project encompasses the full fulfillment of the Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements, ensuring the operation of the N-VIS across all participating sites, both within the Ministry's central infrastructure and across remote consular and diplomatic missions. Technical support and maintenance are also provided for the existing information system, as well as for its subsystems, VIS-MAIL and Online Application. The scope of the project includes the procurement of new hardware and software, including relevant user licenses, as well as the provision of additional upgrade and support services, should these be deemed necessary by the contracting authority in connection with the revision of European Regulations (EU) 810/2009 and 767/2008 and the requirements for the interoperability of the national VIS system with new national and European information systems.
Additionally, the project encompasses system customization services aimed at improving the usability of the VIS application in accordance with the guidelines of the competent directorates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as actions to ensure interoperability with other national information systems.
The project also provides for the provision of training services to the Ministry's ST2 Directorate (Computerization, Telecommunications & IT), as well as the Contractor's onboarding/briefing regarding the current status and the formal handover of the existing system and its subsystems.
With a 40-year presence in the Greek ICT market and extensive experience in developing and supporting critical public sector information systems, Space Hellas reinforces its strategic position in high-tech projects of national importance.
