DOTSOFT S.A. has signed an agreement with the Municipality of Lykovrysi – Pefki for the implementation of the project “Software Procurement for the Development of Smart City Applications and Internet of Things (IoT) Technologies”, within the framework of the “Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Lykovrysi – Pefki” initiative.

The scope of the agreement includes the supply of new applications and technological tools that will improve the management and functionality of the urban environment. The implementation of digital solutions supported by locally generated data aims to provide more efficient, innovative and high-quality services for the benefit of residents, visitors and businesses, while the utilisation of IoT technologies contributes to strengthening demand for broadband services.

The project includes the implementation of the following actions:

• Smart pedestrian crossings that are accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities (PWDs), aiming to enhance road safety and accessibility,
• Smart waste bins, optimising waste management and reducing operational costs,
• Traffic Office organisation and municipal vehicle fleet management, with monitoring tools and solutions for more efficient resource utilization,
• Smart lighting systems within municipal buildings, aiming to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption,
• Implementation of public performance measurement indicators in accordance with the ISO 37122 standard, adapted to the Greek context,
• A centralised integrated platform for the management and collection of data generated by the Municipality’s digital transformation initiatives, providing a foundation for the comprehensive monitoring, management and analysis of its digital interventions.

Through the implementation of the project, the Municipality of Lykovrysi – Pefki will acquire a comprehensive and scalable Smart City ecosystem, enhancing the operational efficiency of municipal services, promoting transparency and sustainable development, and improving the quality of life for its citizens.

The award of this project further confirms DOTSOFT S.A.’s longstanding experience and expertise in the design and implementation of complex Smart City and digital transformation projects for Local Government Authorities, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies and internationally recognised standards.

The project is funded under the Ministry of Digital Governance’s “Digital Transformation 2021–2027” Operational Programme.
