Cosmos Business Systems, in collaboration with its software development subsidiary Cosmos Consulting, has completed the design and development project for the new application supporting the statistical operations of the Enterprise Register and Large Enterprises Department of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), making a substantial contribution to the modernisation of critical functions that support the production of official statistical data for the country.

The project involved the development of application software for the Statistical Business Register, the European Register of Groups of Enterprises (EuroGroups Register – EGR), Business Demography, as well as specialised functions supporting profiling activities, intra-group transactions, Large Cases Units (LCU) and the production of experimental statistics. The project aimed to automate critical processes, improve data control and processing, and enhance the reliability and efficiency of ELSTAT’s statistical operations.

With the completion of the project, ELSTAT acquires a modern information system that enhances the management and utilisation of business activity data, improves the interoperability of individual statistical domains, and creates the conditions for more accurate, timely and high-quality statistical information.
