DOTSOFT S.A. and Epsilon Malta Ltd undertake a new project for the technical optimisation and enhancement of the Malta Financial Services Authority’s digital infrastructure.

On 8 May 2026, the consortium of DOTSOFT S.A. and Epsilon Malta Ltd signed a new contract with the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), Malta’s financial services regulator, for the provision of specialised technical support services, infrastructure optimisation and the enhancement of the resilience of the Authority’s official website.

The new project involves targeted interventions in MFSA’s existing digital infrastructure, with a focus on improving system performance, availability, scalability and operational stability, particularly during periods of increased traffic or exceptional operating conditions.

According to the agreement, the services focus on three key areas:

  1. the upgrade and dynamic scaling of the cloud infrastructure (Infrastructure Scaling),
  2. the optimisation of content delivery and web traffic protection mechanisms (CloudFront Caching & WAF URI Redesign), and
  3. the enhancement of system availability monitoring and operational readiness mechanisms (Gated Health Check / Instance Readiness).

As part of the project, the consortium will implement interventions enabling MFSA’s infrastructure to respond more efficiently to increased usage demands and sudden changes in traffic volumes, while also improving the management of available computing resources. At the same time, caching and web application protection mechanisms will be enhanced, with the aim of reducing the load on backend systems, improving response times and protecting the website from malicious or abnormal traffic. In addition, cloud instance availability monitoring processes will be upgraded, ensuring that newly activated resources are fully operational before handling actual production traffic.

The project forms part of MFSA’s strategy to ensure high availability, security and business continuity of its digital services, which support critical functions of Malta’s financial ecosystem. Key benefits for the Authority include strengthening the reliability and resilience of its official website, reducing technical failures during peak periods, improving the efficiency of cloud infrastructure utilisation, and enhancing the overall user experience for those accessing information, regulatory content and digital services through the MFSA’s online platform.

The collaboration between DOTSOFT S.A. and Epsilon Malta Ltd combines local business presence, expertise in critical information systems and experience in delivering high-demand projects for public and institutional organisations. Through this new project, DOTSOFT S.A. further strengthens its international presence in the fields of cloud infrastructure, digital resilience and technical support for high-requirement organisations.
