WISP Forum 2026: From WISP Forum to ISP Forum in 2027 — The industry matures and gains a stronger voice through GRISPA

The 2nd WISP Forum 2026 concluded with a significant announcement for the future. Held on 6 June 2026 at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens, the event revealed that from next year onwards the conference will be renamed ISP Forum, reflecting the transition of wireless providers into comprehensive connectivity service providers and beyond. At the same time, the need for collective representation of the sector was highlighted, with the proposal for the creation of GRISPA (Greek ISP Association).

This year’s event brought together providers, business executives, technology partners and representatives from the wider telecommunications ecosystem, reaffirming the Forum’s position as a key reference point for the Wireless Internet Service Providers community in Greece.

The event’s agenda featured three panel discussions focusing on critical issues related to the infrastructure, products and services of the modern connectivity provider. At the same time, sponsors presented new technologies, with a common focus on the requirements and future outlook for networks in the AI era — from wireless and optical infrastructure to cloud, security and value-added services.

The event was further strengthened by the institutional presence of the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT), which contributed to the discussion on regulatory developments and spectrum management. The networking sessions also played an important role, creating opportunities for the exchange of expertise and the development of new partnerships.

“The transition to ISP Forum and the idea behind GRISPA demonstrate that the sector is ready for the next step: moving from individual providers to an organised community with a shared voice,” said the event’s Host and Panel Moderator, Mr Nikos Zachariadis, COO of Lancom.

The event was organised by Connectivity Horizons, with the support of its sponsors and partners:
