September 2025: Lancom at the Forefront of Technological Innovation
September 2025 highlighted Lancom as a reference point for technological innovation, cybersecurity and digital transformation in Greece. Through high-level strategic meetings and initiatives, the company reaffirmed its pivotal role by connecting its advanced infrastructure with the latest trends in technology and innovation.
At the “Building the Shield of Digital Greece” conference, organised in collaboration with the Cosmos Business Systems Group, Cisco Hellas and ALEF, Lancom actively participated in discussions on emerging technological challenges, cybersecurity and the opportunities arising from digital transformation. Lancom Group’s Chief Executive Officer, George Nolis, highlighted the importance of innovation, cybersecurity and strategic partnerships as key pillars for a strong and sustainable business journey, while also initiating dialogue on the challenges and opportunities that new technologies bring for business resilience.
In addition, the visits of leading institutional representatives to Balkan Gate, including the Governor of the National Cyber Security Authority, Michalis Bletsas, and the Secretary General for Information Systems and Digital Governance, Dimosthenis Anagnostopoulos, highlighted the strategic importance of Northern Greece’s largest data centre. Discussions focused on strengthening national security and on the capabilities offered by Balkan Gate’s advanced infrastructure to accelerate technological development and support the digital transition of businesses and organisations.
As part of the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), a closed meeting was held with the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou, bringing together representatives from the technology and business communities. Lancom was represented by George Nolis, CEO, and Nikos Zachariadis, COO, with discussions focusing on the prospects of digital transformation and the contribution of Greek companies to the development of solutions with international impact.
Lancom’s contribution to TIF extended beyond dialogue and strategic discussions. As the official internet provider, the company ensured the uninterrupted operation of all critical connections, delivering a highly reliable and high-speed network to exhibitors, visitors and infrastructure facilities, thereby actively supporting the smooth operation of the exhibition for another year.
At the same time, Lancom supported the SETPE ICT Networking Event as a Silver Sponsor, further strengthening its commitment to promoting extroversion and collaboration within the business community.
Through all these initiatives, Lancom demonstrates that it does not simply follow technological developments, but serves as a key and active reference point for cybersecurity, digital infrastructure and the country’s digital transformation.
