Transeuropean Consultants for Transport, Development and Informatics S.A. (TREDIT S.A.) is one of the oldest and most prominent engineering consultancy firms specializing in transport and information technology, with over 30 years of continuous presence in the Greek and European markets. The company delivers complex, integrated studies and analytical frameworks for public and private sector organizations across Greece and the European Union. Headquartered in Thessaloniki with a branch office in Athens, TREDIT operates across planning, management, and advisory services in all transport sectors, logistics, public transit organization and monitoring (land and maritime), as well as systems analysis and advanced software application development dedicated exclusively to the transport sector.
Capitalizing on its extensive experience from long-standing engagement in the Transport sector at both National and European levels, combined with the strong synergy among its operating divisions, the company delivers end-to-end services across all stages of project and service development. These range from initial feasibility studies to detailed system design, implementation, commissioning, maintenance, and long-term commercial exploitation. The company's organizational structure comprises four specialized divisions, each led by an experienced Director and staffed by qualified domain experts.
These divisions are:
Traffic and ITS Division: The expertise and operational structure of this Division ensure the delivery of end-to-end services, including transportation systems planning, development/management of traffic infrastructure both in Greece and abroad, implementation of innovative tech applications aimed at optimizing system organization and operational efficiency, technical support for investment plans, and full-lifecycle supervision of technical projects—from construction design and build management to final project completion. Seamless collaboration with the company’s other divisions guarantees a multi-layered approach to executing complex projects.
Over the last seven (7) years, the company has successfully completed and continues to execute complex Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) projects—nearly all utilizing traffic simulation models at both strategic and operational levels—across Greece and abroad, positioning itself as one of the very few consultancy firms in Greece possessing this specialized expertise.
The company has successfully completed major SUMP projects for the Municipalities of Chania, Pavlos Melas, Igoumenitsa, Ioannina, Ampelokipoi-Menemeni, and Limassol (the latter representing one of the largest SUMP engagements in Europe in 2017), while corresponding mobility master plans are currently underway for the Municipalities of Paphos, Nicosia, and Peristeri.
Freight & Logistics Division: In 1996, anticipating emerging industry trends and capitalizing on its extensive expertise in freight transport, the company established its Logistics Consulting Division. The primary objective was to build a solid foundation for entering the field of Logistics—which was then in its infancy in Greece. Driven by a team of highly experienced domain specialists, the Logistics Division boasts significant achievements across a broad spectrum of supply chain and logistics disciplines.
