Strategic Partnership between Softweb Group and the University of Western Macedonia

17 February 2026|News & Member Announcements|

Softweb Group has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Western Macedonia, laying the foundations for a strategic partnership in the fields of education, research and innovation.

A central pillar of the collaboration is the joint development of a White Paper on “Ecosymmetry”, the new concept introduced by Softweb Group to accurately capture the current stage of digital transformation. Ecosymmetry describes the way in which businesses and organisations interact digitally with their ecosystem in complete symmetry, creating a balanced and interconnected operating model. The White Paper will be developed by a joint working group comprising faculty members and Softweb Group executives, combining scientific research and documentation (corporate governance, strategy and sustainability) with applied technological and business expertise. The objective is to establish Ecosymmetry as a distinct scientific and business framework, strengthening academic dialogue around the new era of digital business organisation.

The collaboration forms part of a broader framework promoted by Softweb Group to strengthen the connection between higher education, entrepreneurship and the labour market, through initiatives including educational activities, research programmes and support for the next generation of scientists.

Through this partnership, Softweb Group aims to contribute to the development of a modern theoretical and practical framework for digital transformation, substantially strengthening the connection between technology and academic knowledge.

SOFTWEB Group, listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, is a modern provider of innovative New Technology solutions and the first “Ecosymmetry Group” in Greece. Through its products and services, it combines business software, digital communication strategy and cybersecurity, delivering integrated digital transformation solutions to businesses and organisations. Since its establishment in 2008, the Group has successfully delivered more than 2,500 technology projects in Greece and abroad.
