SingularLogic, a member of the Space Hellas Group, supported the 2nd Apps4Athens Hackathon 2.0: AI Edition as a sponsor and active partner. The event was organised by the Municipality of Athens and held on 15–16 November 2025 at the Serafio.

The initiative, implemented by DAEM S.A. in collaboration with leading universities and institutions and supported by European projects such as BUILDSPACE, coordinated by SingularLogic, highlighted the decisive role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a catalyst for the digital transformation and sustainable development of modern cities.

The marathon brought together more than 40 teams and 250 participants, including pupils, students, researchers, startups, and AI enthusiasts. The teams that stood out developed solutions related to urban climate resilience, sustainable mobility, and sustainable urban development. The awards were presented to the following teams:

Cloud9ine, for its landscape digital twin that predicts and simulates the spread of wildfires in real time, winning 1st place and a cash prize of €3,000.

Intellectiva won 2nd place and a cash prize of €2,000 for its AI application, which predicts public transport demand and optimises routes.

North South Alliance, for their Street-level Visualization solution that shows how sustainable and comfortable each neighbourhood is, winning 3rd place and a cash prize of €1,000.

Eco Maps, for its ecological navigation platform that determines the “greenest” routes, and wAIsteflow, for its AI-powered smart waste collection and route optimisation solution, jointly awarded 4th place with a shared cash prize of €1,000.

SingularLogic played a key role in the success of the event, providing cash prizes, mentoring, and expertise to the competing teams, leveraging its extensive experience and know-how in digital innovation. The company was represented at the opening ceremony by Dr Ioannis Mertzanis, CEO of SingularLogic, who emphasised the need to strengthen the innovation ecosystem and the opportunities offered by AI technologies to develop solutions that improve citizens’ daily lives and support the sustainable operation of cities. Dr Stamatia Rizou, R&D Manager at SingularLogic, served on the solutions evaluation committee and, together with Mr Stelios Papandreou, the company’s General Manager, presented the award to the team that won 2nd place.
