DOTSOFT S.A., in a consortium with IID Single-Member S.A., has undertaken the implementation of the project “Digitisation of Physical Records & Provision of an Electronic Document Management System for the Directorate of Technical Works of the Region of the Ionian Islands”.

The project involves the comprehensive digitisation and archiving of critical physical records related to expropriations, as well as requests and approvals for road network connections, across the Regional Units of Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia & Ithaca, and Lefkada. It also includes the development and operation of a modern Electronic Document Management System (DMS).

Within the framework of the project, the following are included, among other activities:

• The digitisation of 118,500 pages of documents and 1,990 drawings,
• The provision of document classification and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) services,
• The installation and configuration of a Document Management System (DMS),
• The training of users and the pilot operation of the system.

The implementation of the project substantially contributes to:

• the preservation and security of administrative records,
• the improvement of services provided to citizens and professionals,
• the modernisation and enhancement of the digital services of the Region of the Ionian Islands.
