The Municipality of Lemnos, in collaboration with DOTSOFT S.A., is implementing a major project to enhance the island’s healthcare and welfare services as part of the “Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Lemnos.”

The project involves the supply and installation of modern telemedicine equipment, enabling the delivery of medical services remotely, thereby enhancing accessibility and the quality of healthcare for the island’s residents and visitors.

The implemented solution includes a telemedicine kit, mobile X-ray equipment, mobile ultrasound equipment, hematology analysis devices, as well as specialized telemedicine software that will support connectivity with medical units and specialist doctors, enabling the collection, storage, and real-time analysis of medical data.

In parallel, training will be provided to medical and nursing staff on the use of the equipment and software, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the system from day one.

The application will be hosted in a secure cloud environment, providing stable and reliable operation, fully compliant with data protection principles and European security standards.

Through the implementation of this project, the Municipality of Lemnos significantly strengthens the island’s social care network, leveraging technology to ensure equal access for all citizens to high-quality healthcare services, regardless of their geographic location.

The project is funded by the Antonis Tritsis Program under the initiative “Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Lemnos,” Subproject 1: “Intelligent Applications, Systems, and Platforms for Health and Welfare, Culture, and Tourism.” The system is expected to be available to citizens in the second half of 2026.
