Cosmos Business Systems, in collaboration with Dotsoft, has successfully completed the Municipality of Patras project entitled “Development of Smart Solutions for Citizen Management and Information on Smart Parking Spaces, Traffic Flow and Smart Bus Stops”, as part of the Municipality’s Sustainable Urban Development (SUD) strategy (Action P7 – Sub-project 1).

The project, with a total budget of €950,000.00 (including 24% VAT), aimed to develop integrated “Smart City” solutions for informing citizens and visitors in the centre of Patras about parking space availability, traffic conditions and smart public transport stops, making a significant contribution to improving daily mobility and the overall urban experience.

The new digital services enable, among other benefits:

• Fuel savings and reduction of traffic congestion.
• Avoiding congestion and providing improved information at locations affected by road incidents.
• Strengthening trust in the quality, security and transparency of municipal services.
• Leveraging and upgrading the Municipality’s existing investment in GIS and the e-Governance Portal.
