DOTSOFT S.A. has undertaken the implementation of the project "Digital Transformation Actions," as part of its collaboration with the Municipality of Argostoli.

The project constitutes a comprehensive initiative designed to strengthen the Municipality's digital infrastructure and services, aiming to streamline daily municipal operations, upgrade citizen services, and leverage modern technologies.

The action is co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by national funds via the Public Investment Programme.

Eight Comprehensive Actions for a Digitally Upgraded and Functional Municipality

Within the framework of the project, DOTSOFT will implement a broad suite of digital applications and infrastructure covering critical areas of the Municipality's daily operations and citizen services.

Specifically, the project encompasses:

• Smart energy management systems for municipal and school buildings, featuring remote energy consumption monitoring and utility charge verification. The action includes installing 44 smart meters in electrical distribution panels, alongside supplying and setting up an energy management system.
• Digital management platform for nurseries and daycare centers, supporting the streamlined organization of relevant services while enabling digital updates and communication with parents via a smart app. The action includes both the central management platform and a dedicated mobile application.
• Digital management platform for vulnerable groups, enhancing the Municipality's capacity to organize and support its social services more effectively. The initiative includes developing an integrated platform to record, monitor, and manage associated needs.
• Management system for indoor and outdoor sports, cultural, and recreational venues, featuring functionality for scheduling classes and activities, informing stakeholders, organizing tournaments, and supporting community sports programs. The action includes a central management platform and a dedicated mobile application.
• Platform for managing cultural and sports events and e-ticketing, aiming to improve event organization and create modern digital services for residents and visitors. The action foresees the development of an event platform and an e-ticketing system.
• Digitization and digital promotion of local cultural heritage, featuring the digitization of artworks and sculptures, the creation of a virtual reality digital museum, an interactive 3D educational game, and an augmented reality tour app. This new digital experience will leverage VR, AR, 3D, and gamification technologies, offering innovative ways to explore the cultural identity of Argostoli.
• Integrated cybersecurity defense infrastructure, featuring modern cybersecurity hardware and software. The action includes the procurement and installation of a comprehensive protection system aimed at strengthening the security of the Municipality's digital systems and data.
• Central unified data management and collection platform, serving as the central point of integration for data generated by digital transformation actions. The project includes developing a unified platform that enables organized operational monitoring of individual systems and more effective utilization of available information.

From Isolated Applications to a Unified Digital Ecosystem

Particular emphasis is placed on the interoperability of individual systems, an open and scalable architecture, information security, and the unified utilization of data.

The objective is not merely the deployment of isolated digital applications, but the creation of a cohesive digital ecosystem—one through which the Municipality can structure its services more effectively, gain enhanced operational insight into its infrastructure, and deliver more modern, accessible, and citizen-centric services.

The solutions are designed with an emphasis on interoperability, security, and accessibility, ensuring they can support both the current and future needs of the Municipality.

With the implementation of this project, the Municipality of Argostoli takes another significant step toward a modern, digital local governance model, leveraging technology across a broad spectrum of activities: from energy conservation and social welfare to culture, sports, cybersecurity, and smart data management.
