Η ViLabs, μέλος του ΣΕΤΠΕ, συμμετέχει ενεργά στο ευρωπαϊκό έργο RAISE Suite, το οποίο έχει ως στόχο να ενισχύσει την εφαρμογή των αρχών της Ανοιχτής Επιστήμης και των FAIR δεδομένων σε όλο τον κύκλο ζωής των ερευνητικών δεδομένων.

In the context of the RAISE Suite project, close cooperation has been established with the Region of Central Macedonia, which is now reaching a major new milestone: the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)—serving as project coordinator—and the Region of Central Macedonia (RCM).

To mark the signing of the Memorandum, an event titled will take place in Thessaloniki on Thursday, September 10, 2026:

"Leveraging Open Science Results by Local Government Authorities: The Example of the Region of Central Macedonia"

The event is co-organized by the Region of Central Macedonia, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), the Lab of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation, the Intelligent Systems and Software Engineering Labgroup (ISSEL), and the RAISE Suite project.

Its objective is to highlight how Open Science, FAIR data principles, and collaboration between academic institutions and regional authorities can translate into tangible applications, supporting public sector innovation and regional development.

The program features presentations on Open Science and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem, a demonstration of the RAISE platform, addresses by representatives of the Regional Authority and the academic community, as well as a panel discussion on expanding future collaboration between universities and the Region.

A central highlight of the event will be the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and the Region of Central Macedonia, formalizing their ongoing partnership and establishing a robust framework for future joint initiatives.
